06/26/25- The newly established Stephen W. Vasquez Accounting or Finance Scholarship will increase access to the type of transformative Saint Louis University education David Jacquin (CSB '89) received for undergraduate students currently studying at the Richard A. Chaifetz School of Business.
06/24/25- Sr. (Mary) Ruth Gehres, O.S.U., Ph.D., (GRAD A&S ’68) recently shared insights about her journey at SLU and why giving back regularly to the University is important to her as an alumna and religious sister who has taken a vow of poverty.
06/17/25- Ik-Whan “Ike” Kwon, Ph.D. (GRAD PH ’90), a professor emeritus of the Chaifetz School of Business, has made significant contributions to Saint Louis University for more than 50 years. Recently, he shared his thoughts on the importance of giving back to SLU.
06/16/25- North Point Mergers and Acquisitions, founded by SLU alumnus David Jacquin (CSB'89), has extended an internship to current Billikens.
05/29/25- Starting this fall, the Center for Bosnian Studies' oral histories, rare collections, circulating materials and digital archives will be housed at SLU’s Pius XII Memorial Library.
05/16/25- For Ira Rutkow, M.D., (SOM ’75) and his wife Beth, establishing an endowed scholarship at Saint Louis University’s School of Medicine in 2022 was more than just a generous act – it was a tribute to SLU's profound influence on his career.
05/12/25- The Drs. Michael and A. J. Brush Endowed Fund for Global Ophthalmology provides financial support for SLU medical students and residents to gain hands-on experience in clinical care, research and service in underserved communities worldwide.
05/02/25- Saint Louis University celebrated its 2025 Investiture Ceremony on April 23, recognizing the achievements of 18 distinguished faculty members from six academic units and honoring the donors whose generous philanthropy established endowed positions.
04/30/25- Upon his retirement in December, Theodore Vitali, C.P., Ph.D., (GRAD A&S ’74, ’76) left a legacy of excellence at Saint Louis University. From the students he formed to the department he built and the future he will help SLU attain, his lasting impacts will continue to be realized by future generations of Billikens.
04/28/25- Saint Louis University hosted donors and scholarship recipients on campus for the annual Scholarship Dinner — celebrating the generosity of SLU’s supporters and the success of its students.
04/28/25- In just 24 hours, Billikens and donors came together and raised $582,869 for SLU during Giving Day, Saint Louis University's 24-hour giving initiative.
03/11/25- Saint Louis University staff, faculty, and students can help advance the SLU Giving Day cause by volunteering to be advocates and help spread the word.
03/11/25- The Saint Louis University School of Medicine received a transformational $10 million gift — marking one of the largest and most impactful contributions in the School’s history.

09/16/24- Fifty years after she graduated at the top of her class from Saint Louis University School of Medicine, Virginia "Ginny" Herrmann’s legacy will continue to inspire new ways of serving others.
09/16/24- Saint Louis University has announced a historic donation to the University’s School of Education from physician and alumna Virginia (Ginny) Herrmann, M.D. The $7.3 million gift will establish the Herrmann Center for Innovative Catholic Education, and support education programs and underserved students throughout the St. Louis region.
08/16/24- Throughout his 33-year career as a clinical oncology researcher and professor, Geoffrey Weiss, M.D. (SOM ’74), identified two key factors that shaped his life’s work: His Saint Louis University School of Medicine education and the funding he received early in his training.

01/09/24- A recent $25,000 President’s Grant from the Josiah Macy Jr. Foundation to SLU’s Transgender Health Collaborative will support the University's Interprofessional Transgender Health Education Day (ITHED).
12/05/23- Thanks to one of Wendel’s former students, Robert Steck (A&S ‘79), the esteemed professor’s legacy will pave a new path for urban affairs to flourish through an endowed scholarship benefiting political science students at the College of Arts and Sciences.
10/08/23- The $20 million center was privately funded with a lead gift by the O'Loughlin Family Foundation. Adjacent to Chaifetz Arena, the center will provide support services for the University's 400-plus Billiken student-athletes under one roof.
09/18/23- The gift of a new studio grand piano brings Saint Louis University closer to its goal of becoming an "All Steinway School."
03/15/22- faculty members are “absolutely thrilled” about a recent gift to the University — a collection of 850 newspapers dating from 1683 to 2020.
