Saint Louis University’s Center for Social Action promotes many forms of community engagement, from episodic service to more in-depth involvement. This list of one-time volunteer opportunities will help SLU students, faculty or staff make a difference based on your schedule and interests. Many are perfect for groups.

St. Louis Tornado Relief Efforts

What: Volunteers are needed to assist with clean-up, recovery, and supply distribution events throughout North St. Louis in the wake of the May 16 tornado.

Interfaith Partnership STL

What: Volunteers are needed to assist with clean-up and restoration efforts at Fr. Dickson Cemetery.

My180 Youth Program

What: Volunteers are needed for our Family Fun Nights, where the families of the youth we mentor have an evening of food, games and activities for all.

St. Louis Ovarian Cancer Awareness

What: Volunteers are needed to help work our booth at STL Pridefest, handing out information and raising awareness on ovarian cancer.
When:  Anytime 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., Saturday, June 28 or Sunday, June 29 (shifts available)

Gateway Hemophilia Association

What: Volunteers are needed for the annual GHA Unite For Bleeding Disorders Walk/5K Run, helping with route management, activities, and set-up/take-down.

What: Volunteers are needed for the St. Louis Racial Equity Summit, helping with all aspects of this regional conference on racial justice including registration, info tables, greeting, hall monitoring and more.
When:  4-hour shifts available anytime 7:30 a.m. - 7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 8 or Saturday, Aug. 9
