One-Time Volunteer Opportunities

Saint Louis University’s Center for Social Action promotes many forms of community engagement, from episodic service to more in-depth involvement. This list of one-time volunteer opportunities will help SLU students, faculty or staff make a difference based on your schedule and interests. Many are perfect for groups.

April

Feeding Families Program

What: Volunteers are needed to help deliver ready-to-eat or ready-to-heat meals to families with young children who are food insecure, through this program sponsored by the SLU School of Social Work. Volunteers receive training.
When: 10:30 a.m. - Noon, Fridays throughout April (April 10, 17, 24)

Creative Exchange Lab

What: Volunteers are needed for a viewing of "The Last Mile of the Way," a one-act play depicting the times of Dr. Marting Luther King leading up to his assassination. Help with ushering, etc.

What: Volunteers are needed for our Tornado Recovery Tree Planting Day, helping multiple community organizations replant trees in O'Fallon Park that were lost in the May 2025 tornado.
